Who We Are

Topknot Enterprises Limited was formed as a company two years ago and traded as Topknot Enterprises before that. Jeff has worked in the rural sector all his life — farming, shearing and processing and selling firewood in his spare time.

Since moving to town after their family farm was sold (111 years in the Burt/Birdsall family) Jeff has put his passion into building a business that meets people’s needs with all things trees and other vegetation. Sometimes a change of tact is required during a job and as a worker, manager and the business owner Jeff is in the perfect position to make the neccessary corrections. Their customers sometimes choose them because of the solution they can give to a job. They charge for the work done and any ideas to reduce the cost are a bonus.

Topknot Enterprises Limited is mainly a family business. Jeff’s wife works in a supportive role, ferrying workers to work sites and keeps things ticking over at home base. Jeff deals with the machinery and overall manages the projects. They also hire part time workers when required but often customers like to be involved in the work themselves.
